At Gareth Duncan Celtic Jewellery, I take pride in creating heirloom pieces that transcend time and trends. My commitment to excellence and passion for craftsmanship defines every piece I develop, ensuring that each creation is a reflection of my dedication to Celtic artistry and tradition.
I work in 14 carat Yellow and Ultra White Gold, 9 carat Yellow and Rose Gold, and Sterling Silver. Every piece is stamped with the Duncan House makers' mark, and assayed and hallmarked by the Assay Office in Edinburgh, Scotland. At Duncan House, we always begin with pure gold and silver, expertly alloying to your desired purity and durability.
All my jewellery settings are handcarved and cast to be fully and strongly integrated with the object as a whole. Pieces can be set with faceted or cabochon precious gems, from fair-mined sources or the very best laboratories as you prefer. I also love to work with my own collection of precious and semi-precious stones, inherited from my grandfather. And I particularly enjoy foraging the Cullin Mountains for unique examples of Skye Marble, Serpentinites, Basalts and more. I cut and polish these to bring out their absolutely unique hearts and qualities, found nowhere else in the world.

My 14 carat white gold is...
My yellow golds begin as pure gold in the workshop, meticulously alloyed with only pure silver and copper for the desired properties, before being cast here.
I love to contrast particular gemstones with the warm tones of rose gold, also made right here.
As with gold, I alloy my own Sterling silver to ensure purity and optimum properties. Casting in-house means I can create pieces from delicate earrings to weighty pendants and mounts.
I source the highest quality gemstones from international dealers, as well as working with my inherited collection of unusual semi-precious stones, which I shape and polish in the workshop. If you desire a particular type of stone, just ask.
I spend my free time hiking and running in our mountains: I'm constantly on the look out for unique local marble. As well as the usual white, Skye Marble can occasionally be found in bright yellows and greens, or with distinctive zebra stripes. I shape and polish these myself for pieces unavailable anywhere else.
